Koll Distributors' History
In 1953, Richard S. Boettinger, Sr., a World War II Air Force veteran and Mr. Koll’s nephew, joined Koll Distributors and expanded it into housewares and cleaning chemicals. After Joseph Koll passed away in 1961, Mr. Boettinger, Sr. and his wife, Jean bought the company, incorporated it in 1965, and led its growth over the next two decades.
In 1988, Rick, Jim, and Dave Boettinger purchased Koll Distributors, Inc. from their parents and expanded it from hardware and drug stores into commercial sales and independent grocery stores. Today, the company is a full-service wholesale distributor of housewares, multicultural and seasonal products serving a wide variety of businesses.
